1. Improving Operational efficiency to reduce carbon intensity (gram CO2 or CO2eq. per ton nm) by 40% up to 2030
- EEDI for all ships also for ship built before 2013 – (EEXI) as a power use limitation
- Speed limits ( not much support anymore)
- Goal based Operational Measures
2. EEDI phase 4, alternative development paths:
- Just make the calm water threshold stricter
- Expand with performance in real sea
- More than one loading condition
3. Sustainable Power for shipping
- How to assess and compare fuels
- CO2 only versus including all GHG gasses (CH4, N2O, Fluorinated gases)
- Continue with Tank-to-wake only or include Well-to-tank to get Well-to-Wake
