Decarbonization of shipping requires joint efforts. SFI Smart Maritime visited MAN Energy Solutions, in Copenhagen Denmark on January 21st. The visiting team included SINTEF Ocean and seven of our industrypartners and major Norwegian ship owners: Solvang, Grieg Star, KGJS, Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Klaveness, Odfjell and BW-LNG. The purpose was to discuss about future engines and fuels solutions for GHG reductions, learn about MAN's solutions and a visit to the Research Centre at the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology (KEA).
