· Associate Professor David Kristiansen, NTNU
Associate Professor David Kristiansen, Department of Marine Technology, has been appointed Administrator of the Committee. The Committee recommends that the thesis is worthy of being publicly defended for the PhD degree.

The doctoral work has been carried out at the Department of Marine Technology. 

The trial lecture will take place on June 15th, 2022, in Auditorium T1, Marine Technological Centre, Tyholt, at 10:15

on the following prescribed subject:

“Bio-inspired propulsion – what can we learn from nature?”

The public defence of the thesis takes place on June 15th, 2022, Auditorium T1, Marine Technological Centre, Tyholt, at 13:15

Room for the trial lecture and public defence will be announced prior to the defence day. 

Professor Sverre Steen, Department of Marine Technology, has been the candidate’s main supervisor. Professor Luca Savio, Department of Marine Technology has been the candidate’s co-supervisor.

Jarle Kramer has been PhD Candidate at SFI Smart Maritime WP2 working on the topic of Hydrodynamic modelling of wind-powered merchant vessels, under the Supervision of Professor Sverre Steen, NTNU, Department of Marine Technology.
