Ulrik Jørgensen / new team mate WP4
Ulrik joined SINTEF Ocean, Dpt. Energy and Transport, Group Maritime Transport, in August 2020.
He will work on further development of Smart Maritime Simulator Gymir and related activities in WP4.
Ulrik worked previsouly as Product Manager for AMC Gangways at Seaonics AS, developing the new 2nd. generation motion compensated gangway which has a redundant control system with autonomous landing capabilities.
Ulrik has a M.Sc. in Control Engineering at the Cybernetic Department, NTNU, with nonlinear control as main subject, and a PhD degree from NTNU, Department of Marine Technology. His PhD Thesis entitled Autonomous Underwater Ice Observation System, was part of the KMB project Arctic DP, where his focus was on using underwater vehicles to assist in DP operations in an Arctic environment.
